Hi, I'm Ashari!
So there’s a saying in Indonesia which stated “Tak kenal maka tak sayang”, means if you don’t know someone you can’t love her/him. So let me talk about “me” a little bit.
I am a Frontend Developer with 6 years of experience specialized in React JS/Next JS and Typescript. I was playing around fintech industry with Stockbit for 4 years and food delivery service company called Kulina for around 2.5 years as a frontend developer. Although my main “weapon” is React with Next JS, actually I’m so open to learn as many things as possible, be it Vue or Svelte or any other framework. I am also in the process of learning GraphQL and still crafting my own UI library package called Sore UI.
I started to make learning things as a daily habit, back then I was a lazy person, then I realised that I couldn’t stay in a place while more talented person come and go, so long story short my journey began. I started my #100DaysOfCode for the first time, learning things from The Odin Project like HTML+CSS, Node JS, React, even Ruby! I didn’t expect it too much but I actually made it and it changes me in a lot way. I become more eager to learn things and even spare my time after work hour to learn new things until now. Oh by the way, as this story is written, I am still doing the second round of my #100DaysOfCode.
Aside from learning technical things like coding or designing, I also started to read books on 2020. I spend my spare time during working from home amidst pandemic by reading books. Honestly it was hard at first, as soon as I open my book, my eyes were closing, then slowly but sure my eyes adapted to reading book for more than 30 minutes in a single sit (it’s such an achievement!). I don’t have a specific favourite books but I prefer self-improvement book over novel. Some books I enjoyed among all books I’ve read:
- Have a Little Faith and Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
- The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch
- Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker, PhD
- The Four Agreements, Mastery of Love, etcs. by Don Miguel Ruiz
- Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson
- Everything is F*cked by Mark Manson
- Zero to One by Peter Thiel
- Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely
- The Art of Thinking Clearly by Rolf Dobelli
- Power of Habit (Indonesia ver.) by Charles Duhigg
- Smarter Faster Better (Indonesia ver.) by Charles Duhigg
- Sabtu Bersama Bapak by Adhitya Mulya
- Filosofi Teras by Henry Manampiring
- How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie
- Educated by Tara Westover
- Steal Like an Artist and Show Your Work by Austin Kleon

Trivia about me:
- I am a cat person, I just can’t handle their cuteness, but I love domestic cats more than Persian cats due to their nose. Cats with nose are the best!
- Although I’m a developer I don’t enjoy coffee as much as my friends do, I prefer water or tea! It’s good for your health.
- I am an outdoor activities lover, before pandemic comes, I often throw myself out for hiking or camping, but now I restraint myself to only doing light outdoor activities like jogging or bicycling.
- I joined scouting since I was 7 and I got my Eagle Scout when I was Rover Scout. I also got National Award called “Lencana Teladan” and took my first bead course.
- Since last 2023 I started running quite seriously and I am aiming for sub-25 for 5K this 2024
My latest hiking at Mt. Lawu, it was 2019 long before pandemic :(
